Fiat Punto mk1

Post by dallas140cv » 10 Jan 2011, 09:00

On the list of supported vehicles, there is the Punto Mk1 55, 60, 75, 85, 90, TD, with the ABS and airbas diagnose. This car, however, hasn't the EOBD connector on the ECUs, but only the 3-way connector. On the interface listing, so, will be added the 3-way to EOBD adaptor?

Yes! If you want to connect ABS ECU or AIRBAG ECU on Fiat Punto MK1 you nee this adapter:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Adapter- ... veQ5fTools
- connect this adapter on your car
- connect - and + wires from adapter to battery on the car
- connect VAG COM KKL interface to a 3 pin adapter
- connect VAG COM interface to laptop or PC and start FES program

Hello fiat friends
I know this to be old threat but try hope anyway maybe lucky ;)
I connect VAG and 3pin adapter+battery as you say (Punto mk1 MM IAW 8f.5t), also use the USB VCP xp driver because VAG is USB not RS232
Car ignition on, I then use FES choose Airbag (no ABS the car) but program say no response in ECU
I verify with VAG software, it say connected to car and K1+K2 ready
What can be problem please?
I connect to connector near ECU, need connect to other Airbag connector direct?
THANK YOU
Sorry my English I Chinese

If your car has the FIAT 3-pin connector it has a separate connector near the module it belongs to. So ECU connector is near the ECU, ABS connector is near the ABS pump, and SRS connector is near the SRS control unit, which is under the console in its central part - the connector is mounted behind the car radio on the right (passenger) side.

FES supports only ABS and SRS modules so far, but you can use my IAW ECU Scan (http://iaw-scan.sourceforge.net/) to connect ECU (using the same cable). I hope Yani will finally integrate support to those ECUs into FES.
