I have a 2004 2.4 alfa jtd. It runs fine on the road & producing 34mpg. I have done 3k mls in this in the last month, when I bought it I thought it a little smoky at first but it does go once you get the revs up. White/blue smoke not black. When cold today I raised the engine temp with a resistor to fake it being hot. It had a hard job to start but once it did I got the same amount of smoke. On tickover you can smell it is over-fueling.
Does someone have tec spec for this engine, I need some reference to see whats going on. Ths is the edc16 ecu. A wiring diagram would also be good. My epc is old & only has parts.
I have been using the demo version 2.5 of fiatecu scan & cant see anything out of the ordinary other than poss more fueling on a couple of injectors. This car has recently had a pump & injectors overhauled due to misfiring + a new ecu.
Would the new ecu map need to be tuned to this engine/injectors. The injector codes are correct.
