alcune interfacce NON sono compatibili nemmeno se togli la resistenza tra i piedini di uscita. Ti consiglio di acquistare un altra interfaccia perchè non è detto che saldando un nuovo chip la circuiteria sia compatibile.

Not all the interfaces are comaptible even when you remove the bridge resistor. i would suggest to buy a diffwerent interface and not a new chip as the design of the circuirty might not be comaptible.

Well after having an ELM 327 lead for nearly 4 years and never trying to connect to CANbus I failed miserably tonight. Because it had always connected to engine ECU (Alfa 159 2007) I always thought that it was a good lead.

Having read the threads it looks like I have the type shown on P11; very, very grateful I didn't have to read nearly 300 pages. R04 now removed (destroyed with a sharp knife) and it will be time to test it tomorrow.

The only thing I will add is that the components looked a lot more tidy and aligned than on the circuit board that osmangdk had.

Trusting that this will work and a big thank you to yani, Mr. Alfa156sarajevo and mattydr67.

hi,
I am a new member and I am having trouble making PROXI ALIGMENT.
I have a Stilo 1.8 8v 2003.
Latency too high is the reason.
I downloaded the driver on site the AlfaEddy sent, however, when trying to update the driver, he says the driver directory does not contain information for the device.
It must be connected to the car for recognition and driver installation correctly?
The interface is an ELM 327.
Thank you.
Andre

hi,
My ELM327 interface has the Prolific 2303 chip.
You can not adjust the latency.
Can anyone help me?

Thank you!
Andre

Hallo

I have just recevied a new China clone ELM237 interface.
It is as usual - USB wire, black box, orange/blue label with text "ELM327 Interface - Supports all OBDII protocols"

I have purchased v1.5 but received v2.1

I believe it still can work with MES for my Grande Punto
Here some pitures of label and board inside (both sides)

is there anything I need to do to make it usable? To remove some Res, Or?

Thanks for support

Hello Bep

To which software version it really is you can see by looking
MES / Settings / Interfaces / pressing the test button

Then the true version is displayed.

Screenshot

Otherwise, remove the interface on R2 and try a Vernbindung

I've marked R2 Resistor in a red frame

Greeting Eddy

Hallo Alfaeddy

I have tried to remove marked resistor, but seem that did not help.

This is the text printed out when I have pressed the Test button next to chosen interface (MES / Settings / Interfaces):

COMMAND: ATZ
RESPONSE: ATZ

ELM327 v2.1

This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules

So seems to be fine, then I tried to press Scan for Interfaces in MES / Settings / Interfaces. again the result seems to be good:
ELM 327 1.3+ interface found at port COM7, speed 38400bps
This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules.
Latency Too High!!!

COMPLETED

And then I tried to connect one of the module, which should be accessible by cable without yellow adapter.
this was the result:

I have also tried to change the latency up to 188, but nothing helped

What is wrong now?

thanx again for support

Hello and sorry for my English.
I recently purchased a clone ELM327 Bluetooth (the normal size one - with 5 led), and y have this problem (when y test with FiatEcuScan 3.6.2 registrated):

COMMAND: ATZ

WARNING: This interface is not compatible with ELM 327 1.3! Will not connect to any CAN module.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mention that does not connect to a 2007 Panda 1.2 ( with FES ) , but connects to a BMW 520d engine LCI 2010 and even read / delete errors with Torque program .
With the same Torque seems that tries to connect to Fiat but I seems to give false errors .

I borrowed another interface and is compatible and works fine. So the problem is with this interface.

I even removed a resistor between pin 6 and 14 ( a resistance of 100 ohm have between pins , and after removal does not have any resistance - I hope I did well and is not a wrong resistor :) ) but not fixed anything.

Please do not tell me that y must throw away...
I've attached two pictures of the interface. ( Has on both sides of the PCB components).

Thanks in advance

Hello Trafic

Unfortunately, I have to tell you what you do not want to hear

Look at your printout of test
It is the interface version v2.1

This version you get with MES not to connect to a control unit

Thanks Alfaeddy

I will use only with Torque, it seems to work with my cars.( Bmw E60, Fiat Panda and Passat B6), only to the engine of course.
