Just registered so I can say THANK YOU to all who have contributed to this thread. I removed R04 and can now communicate with all my elm compatible CAN modules.

Hello Diablotic

The error you have with your interface?
Which version is your interface?
With which you can control establish a connection?

This ELM interface does not have this annoying resistor
And should really be able to connect.

Greetings Eddy

Basically when I do the interface search I can find my ELM but I have "latency too high" message at the bottom. All the tests are OK but I can see this error and I also have difficuties to connect to FIAT cars so that's why I thought I need to do some kind of trick with my interface.

I have the same interface that conforms to the circuit Datasheet (http://elmelectronics.com/DSheets/ELM327DS.pdf)
http://multiecuscan-france.forumgratuit ... elm327-v15

No connection problem.

Do you have Airbag on CAN BUS or k-line?
Or you need to use the 3rd Adaptor for this?
Did you checked the Coverage list to see what you need to acces to your airbag?
By the way did you tried to connect to the BSI or other CAN BUS controlers?
Think about this first then we will see what can be your issue
Good luck

Hello

How Mattydr67 already writing
I will once again make clear
The problem with the resistor in the ELM interface affects only
The controllers will be read with CAN (ISO 15765)

And no controls with the KWP2000 (ISO14230) or K-Line (KW1281)

Therefore, not just remove a resistor from the board, often it is also because incorrect settings why no connection can be made.

Also concerns this resistor only this software (Multiecuscan) all other software have no problem with this resistance in the ELM
