hello

First, some questions

Which vehicle?
Model?
Year of construction?

Laptop operating system?
Which driver was installed?

Latency time is set back to 1?
Checked all other settings?

Once obtained this ad
"Command: ATZ / connection timeout".

Is it nothing to do with a bridge resistor
But with settings or drivers

And yet, other diagnostic software have nothing with
to do the bridge resistor.

Greetings Eddy

With MultiEcuScan when I test the interface and every time return the error "COMMAND: ATZ / Connection timeout”.
...
Check the port and drivers again, ELM don't need to be connected to any modules for the test is all right.

Hello

Try it once this driver
but take the further down the list (02/08/30)

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

Because often made on the small CD problems accompanying the driver.

Look before but again the COM port in the Control Panel / Hardware manager at
Whether the interface is detected without error.

Exactly like mine VAG (yes, no ELM). FTDI drivers DO NOT WORK with it. I need to configure it in 2 COM ports (COM3 and the other...), as if there were two interfaces. What is the result of the "Scan for Interfaces" on your MES?

Thanks Eddy but no way...

The driver you told me cant install with my interface.

I spend a lot of time trying to know the problem and I'm sure of this:

- on my boaurd is mounted a wrong "USB bus convert chip"
- my board mount WCH "CH340T" but the line on board is made to connect another chip like CP2102
- I can say this because UD+ and UD- pin of USB interface is not connected to pin 6 and 7 of "CH340T" (this pin is not connected)
- the pin 2 and 3 of usb instead is connected to the line 4 and 5 of CP2102 slot (CP2102 is not mounted)

I think that this interface can't work in anyway because they have mounted a chip on a wrong board made for CP2102 chip.

I ask amazon seller to send me another interface...hope this new one is not faulty.

In the pic I have marked the chip than in my board not exist, but exist in the other face the teoric replacing chip that can't work.

Well, I bet it will work if properly configured.

Your problem is software settings.

Do the "Scan For Interfaces" with the interface connected to vehicle and reporting here.

"Scan For Interfaces" report me that NO interface is found (or something similar).

This function take some time like 2 or 3 minute and I have tried with or without connect to my car.

Other things that can solve the problem? I am realy very near to say that i have a faulty or broken interface and esclude software or configuration problem.

I try olso in my desktop PC (Win 7) and I recieved the same result.

Eddy...I'm sorry....but...the driver is only one that I can install (there aren't other that I can install), the configuration of driver and MES is very easy (free of some strange setting to do)...so...why you say that you are sure that is a problem of software settings??

........
For my VAG (Nanjing QinHeng Electronics Co.,Ltd.) is necessary to be connected to car for MES find it. Keep Windows XP-SP3 (like me), it's better.

In my case even if I connect my ELM327 to the car or not...MES not find the interface.
