Hello

That was easy :D :D
Correct R04 is the resistor

It has also been described several times

For which vehicle or control is the interface required?
This can play a role

Hello everyone!

I don't know if this is already answered so I apologies upfront. I have China
ELM327 and Multiecuscan says it's v1.4 compatible. I couldn't connect to
any modules so I removed 120 ohm resistor. So everything good for
now, I can connect to body, climate, instrument etc BUT CAN'T connect
to engine ecu, in my case Bosch EDC16C39. I't works with my KKL cable
but ELM327 no go.

So is there anything I can do to rectify problem? :?:

Thanks!

I took apart my diagnostic tool and it doesn't look at all like the other tools, this is how it looks, what resistors do i need to remove to make it work with my Alfa Romeo 147

This one ;)

I have managed eventually to connect to most of the ECUs except the engine one which I cant understand? can anyone help?

hI , I apology because I'm sure you already treated this argoment but I'm not so clever with all this stuff...
by the way, I'm using an ELM 327 WiFi module with a registered 3.4 MultiECuScan . Everything works for engine ECU, ABS... but introducing the Yellow Adaptor the software don't communicate with other ECU (for example Service...Dashboard etc.)
I read about the intervention on the resistor but my layout is a little different... may you help me?
all the test are ok also with yellow adaptor, so I suppose it could be this the issue... or could it not?
Cars: Abarth Grande Punto (1.4 Tjet) 2009 and 500 1.3 Mjet 95cv.
Thanks, Giank

Thanks for suggestion. I will go for find out resistors and so on ...then , carefully :) I will do.
I will keep community informed. Ciao

Pretty sure it's resistor 121, someone else can confirm, however you could always solder it back on it it doesn't work.

WiFi dongles are not recommended for proxi alignments and other functions.

I'd suggest to stop buying "ELM v2.1" interfaces. ELM never made anything newer than v1.4 so you'll just end up getting a "Clone" device that's not a true ELM interface. I'm sorry I cannot help with this particular model. I'm just trying to prevent you from running into the same issue again and wasting more money on junk interfaces. :)

Can you recomand me a particular type of interface? Or how to test it? Because they look the same and they have diferent hardware.

Thank you very much!
