Seems another adapter with chip Beken and probably remove the resistance will not solve the problems. In any case should be the R27, visible in this picture, to the left of the small chip (is a TJA1040?): http://s12.postimg.org/yr3mcagcs/20150316_102400.jpg

Post a scan tests done with multiescuscan before and after remove the R27 and if you can, before remove the R27, post a clearer photo of pcb!

hello

How blkid :) also writes, it is probably the R27 Resistor

Take a multimeter and miss the resistance of 120 Ohm
then R27 should be removed.

To read the CAN bus

Hello Serjony

First time !
Which car?
Bj?
What control?

You should measure the resistance of R27 is 120 ohms?

If the reading is 120 ohms then it is R27
Unfortunately, the resistor has no imprint

However, this only helps CAN bus read errors
Therefore my question about your car and control?

My car is Fiat Linea Tjet 2010 India Model.

I bought Vgate OBD scanner. I plugged the scanned in the car’s OBD port. Samsung Galaxy tab was able to detect the scanner and connect with it. Then started the car, but all the lights on the dashboard were on!! And the tacho was not showing any reading. Tried connecting with Torque and it did not work, so stopped immediately. Unplugged the scanner and started the car again and the display was back as normal.

I opened the scanner. Surprise, the circuit board did not match with photos that showed resistor R04. Not sure if this was a new version of the circuit board.

I was checking this forum, one thread talks about removing resistor R04 and other talks about removing resistor R27. But both mention about removing the 120 ohms resistor.
So I check the reading on both resistors. R04 - could not get a steady reading; but I got reading around 180 ohms. R27 - shows a steady reading of 120 ohms.
So which resistor to be removed?

i had similiar situation. All indicators lights on the dashboard. later, when i plugged ELM327 USB there was many reported bugs in the dashboard memory. fortunately it was no problem to easly remove them. so i give up with another attempts to connect this faulty ELM Bluetooth.
