Afla Giulia SERVICE KM RESET failure to execute

Post by Tabres » 16 Oct 2021, 19:44

Hi all,

Was hoping someone might have experience with what I'm encountering.

I bought a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia (06/2018 build car) roughly 6 months ago and just recently hit the need for the first oil change. I purchased MES and am having trouble with the oil change/interval reset process.

When I connect to service interval reset, then navigate into adjustments and execute NEXT SERVICE KM RESET it displays a box stating "FAILED TO EXECUTE" with no additional information.

I'm using the following cable with no adapters: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ZWM0R4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm using software version 4.7R3, and it is a registered version. I was able to check and delete DCT's and monitor data points with the software with no issue.

Any advice on where to go from here?

Thanks!

It's probably because your car has the SGW (Secure Gateway module).
