Fiat 500: Disable 2nd stage of driver airbag

Postby fiatnuova500 » 14 Feb 2018, 12:12

helllo everybody.

Newer Fiat 500 Models have an 1 stage only driver and passenger airbag.
Older Fiat 500 (2007-2012???) have driver/passanger airbgas with two stages.

ein MES you can see if the second stage parameter is activated or not (for driver and passenger ...)

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE PARAMETER FOR THE DRIVER AIRBAG "Driver's airbag (2nd stage)" from present to not present?

Is there a way (custom proxi alignment?) to do this`????

I want to install a facelift-steering-wheel to my 2012 Model so I have to disable the second stage because the new airbag only has one stage.

pls help!

MES in the parameters tab will show you the 1st stage and 2nd stage air bag resistance for driver and passenger.

MES (for safety reasons) will not allow you to adjust/disable or modify airbag system parameters. I don't think even the official Fiat dealer level diagnostics permit the changing of airbag functions except for official software updates to the airbag ECU.
