ZF 4HP20 self-adaptation reset

Post by nielsek » 12 Aug 2011, 12:25

Hi.

From version 3.2 automatic transmission ZF 4HP20 is supported. The connection worked great on my 166 2004 with adapter cable A1 and KKL. With ELM/A1 bluetooth I couldn't make it work.
I have a question about self-adaptation reset with this gearbox. Is there any special proceedure for this adjustment?

thanks,

yani

Hi,

I think that there are no specific conditions required for this procedure. Simply execute it.

When I hit the execute button for the self adaption reset I got an error message and the execute halts. All other communications with the gearbox works ok... Anyone got this reset to work?

the same problem for me... all parameters are read fine, except self-adaptaion reset, and solenoids activation - both failures. Does anybody who experiencing "self-adaptation failure" have the same issue with solenoids activation??
Has anyboby found method to drop off adaptations for this gear box?

Hi, has anyone been able to successfully reset the adaptive learning on their 4HP20 gearbox? I can connect to the gearbox and select the "Self adaptation reset" from the Adjustments menu - but the operation fails to execute.

If you made it work, please let me know how you did it!

thanks,
