Enable/Disable Race mode for non-Quadrifoglio Giulia

Post by JeBizzle » 14 Aug 2019, 19:51

There is currently some work being done to identify which bits in the PROXI Alignment data to alter in order to turn on Race mode on the Giulia. This of course coincides with at proper RDNA selector being installed.

For my North American 2018 Giulia Ti Sport Q4 2.0T (280HP petrol) I can do one of the following things to byte 88:

CC in byte 88 enables Race mode:
  • Disables ESC/FCW
  • ABS is still enabled
  • Changes the center display to Race mode that shows MPH in larger font and a shift light. (shift light doesn't actually work, probably due to shift point RPM)
  • Sets the accelerator pedal mapping to Normal mode. It's a much more linear pedal mapping, which is better for use on a track. Normal pedal mapping is the only setting across all modes now though, DNA&R use Normal
EC in byte 88:
  • ESC/FCW is disabled.
  • I believe that it also affects the accelerator mapping (Normal) like the Race mode does.
