Well, it probably depends on the netbook model (and settings)...
I have eeepc 900HA and it works with no problems.

Google Translate

I have an ASUS Netbook1005 HA with 1.67 GHz processor N280 Intel
ECU is detected.
ABS and airbags is not recognized
My friend has a Medion laptop, with which we have tried it.
With the same interface.
With him, ABS and airbags is recognized and not recognized on my netbook.
We have many interface settings tried, without success.

When you read the ECU parameters appears at the bottom of the mask in red response time to low.

Where could the problem lie? :?: :?:

Best regards

wombi

Hi
How Wombi already writing with my Medion laptop I have no connection problems I know of 3 User with your Netbook 1.6 GHz have connection problems,
but unfortunately the are not reported here.
I guess now is a time error because Yani had ever suggested in another post. It would still be a way to change this time Problem connecting?
Since there are some connection problems Netbooks that others have not.

I am looking forward to the new update
FES is a very good software and can be recommended to the Italian cars driving

Regards
Eddy

Alfaeddy is right - Fes is a great program, but unfortunately you have to have a powerful laptop (netbook). My problem is similar to your wombi etc. I conected to everything without a problem ECU, ABS , AIRBAG to my Brava 1.2 16V 2000r whit 3 pin adapter. A problem I have when I read the actual data (engine running)!!!!
Then disconnects me right away .... my laptop is: Dell Latitude 1.73 GHz
Already tried all the port settings, trying different configurations I bought a pcmcia card whit usb 2.0 - and nothing
my topic whit problem : viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1983

As soon as I use another laptop - faster than 1.6 - 1.7 GHz (2.0-2.2 Ghz etc)
everything is working properly.

Dell latitude its : 1.73 ghz and 1.5 GB RAM - when reading the engine parameters (engine working) then disconnects me .... I use VAG KKL dedicated to the FES.
When I use ELM 1.4 and it works and does not disconnect me - because I ELM is able to buffer the signal to a laptop or netbook if it is weak. ELM only connects to the engine ECU, the ABS and AIRBAG do I have VAG KKL (Fiat Brava 1.2 16V 2000)

When I use a fast new laptop HP 4510s = 2.2 GHz and 3 GB of RAM, everything works from the VAG KKL - do not disconnect

I think that FES needs more than 1.6, 1.7 or 1.8 GHz processor to connect to some models of cars..... but I do not want to put you in error. That's just my observation after several tests with different laptops and different settings com port.

Sorry my english is poor (helps google translator )
