Alfa 156 remote key programming

Post by maunu » 08 Jan 2011, 10:15

I have 156 2.0 JTS Selespeed -04 and it has only one remote key. I do have an extra remote, but I can't install it to the vehicle with FES. This kind of feature would be great.

More info: The car has two working keys, but only one has remote buttons. I can remove the key blade and the immobilizator chip from the "dummy" one and use them in the ebay key. So only the remote board has to be programmed.

The remote control unit is VAS 97/3.

Can this control unit be found in other model or in Fiat for example?

Still waiting. No immobilizer programming needed when using old chip.

Some software can program the rc (googled) and they will ask password code while programming is done. Is this code same that immobilizer has?
