Here in Brazil in very common FIAT Bravo, Punto, Palio, Linea, Idea.... using the "Dualogic" system, most know as "free choice" from magneti marelli, used in FIAT and VW (Imotion).
The biggest problem is run any kind of diagnostic in this system. Magneti Marilli sell the software "Tester Vision" (hardware and software) from more than U$ 4,000.00. The "free choice" system have an easy maintenance with supplied parts in the common market.
But to remove the system from the powertrain you need drain the pressure (via software) usually 70 bar, and after system maintenance it's necessary to run the sofware again to "learn" the gears position (R, N, 1,2,3,4 and 5). In the future Multiecuscan will support the "free choice"? We have a big demand for this system, but a fair price, as multiecuscan, it's necessary!
