ECU reading values

Hi,

I have a Fiat Ducato (type 250) Facelift 2. Multijet 2016
With MES last version, on ECU parameters the Odometer value is 164.450,6 km, the Odometer at last programming is 0,0 km, but my dashboard marks 74.940 km.
Periodic maintenance records are for a car with 74.940 km.
The MOT history is:
2018 - 50.418 km
2019 - 62.560 km
2020 - 74.215 km
The former owner used the car a lot in urban driving.
It is possible that the reading values are not correct on ECU, and have that difference?
The car is like new and does not appear to have 164.450 km.

Thanks,

It is a fairly common reoccurring observation that people have had (me on the Croma 2005 I used to have and my current 500X) that the engine ECU odometer value does not match the dashboard odometer value.

You can check the odometer values recorded in the ABS unit and Service unit with MES to see what they are saying.

For my Croma and my 500X I've had both from brand new and I know nothing has been changed/adjust regarding odometer values in the units.

You have posted 3 sequential MOT mileages so this is a valuable indicator to you that the vehicle mileage is genuine. You could also check the car's service log book / dealer service receipts etc. for the earlier values.

Not sure I can add any more advice other than to ignore and accept the discrepancy.

Hi,

To read the Service unit i need the yellow cable, i buy one waiting for delivery.
The ABS unit i can connect but de odometer don't show nothing.
I'm using the normal ELM327 Bluetooth, and MES V4. 6R1, is necessary to have the modified ELM or install other versions of MES?

Thanks for your help.

I can't comment on Bluetooth interfaces as I've never used one.

I've looked in test mode and the ABS odometer guide information says that it is derived form the engine ECU value and should be within 3% on the dashboard odometer.

Not sure why you are reading nothing from the ABS odometer.

The latest version of MES should be the best with no deprecated function however regressions with any program are possible.

You can try an earlier version of MES (suggest different program location).

Beyond this then you can send MES Support an MES Log and follow up with Email.
