Connection failed alfa 159

Post by 19piro92 » 02 Mar 2015, 10:23

Hello to everybody,
I have an alfa 159 1.9 JTDm 8v with multiscan regular license, but when i try to work on it, it give me access only to the engine ecu! for all other ecu it says:
"ELM 327-> ECU connection failed!"
how can i fix it? if i check all the cu, it finds me only the engine.
Thank you!

Regular license means registered?
Did you try the Adapter Cable A1?

no because before buy other cables i will like to know if it's a problem of software or something else, in theory in supported vehicles, my car doesn't need any special cables:

1) Well, for some modules your car NEEDS A1
2) The free version only reads Engine and CAN info
3) Any other doubts?

thank for your kind answer:
1) i have a registered version
2) i need to reset service message but it gives me the failed connection.
Have i to buy the adapter cable even for the service? because i read that elm 327 was enough but maybe i'm wrong
