DPF regeneration failed

Post by Jerry 159 » 04 Feb 2010, 17:49

Hello Yani,

Yesterdag I had a clogged DPF on my 159 2.4 JTDm 200HP.
I tryed to regenerate with the 1.6 software version, unfortunately it didn`t work :( got this message: "execution failed"

Engine was idling at 800 rpm and warmed up to 90c, also no brake or clutch pedals touched.

Every other function (actuators, reset, values) of your great software is working ok, so its not the cable I think.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it a software glitch?

Please advice,

Jerry

The same over here.
My dpf is clogged 92%, I thought all conditions were met but I got the same message.
Does it have to be 100% clogged?
Or is it necessary that the warning light is on?

Croma 1.9 JTD 8V

Hi,

Seems that it is a software problem. I will try to resolve it in next release.

Yani, I have tryed the DPF regeneration function for Alfa 159 2.4 JTDm in the latest multiecuscan 2.0:

-Using the ELM327 cable it works perfectly !!!
-With the KKL interface DPF regen is still NOT working. Cable works OK with al functions/reading except DPF regen.

I don`t mind because I have both cables, but maybe its an issue for version 2.1 :)

The local (st)(d)ealer charged me €120,- for DPF regen, so i`m very happy that I can do it with your fantastic software!

Did you try it yourself with ELM327 interface?
NO you did`t !!! because it works!

After regenerate command in multiecuscan:
- RPM goes from idle 800 rpm in steps to 3500 rpm
- sound from engine is changing (lower note) happens also when its generating during driving.
- after 1 minute a lot of smoke from exhaust (= burned soot)

After regenerate % clogged DPF reading is low.

So with ELM327 & Multiecuscan you can regenerate
