Hi,

on my former Alfa 2.4 JTD 10V (EDC15c7) I used to send this hex Code: 80 00 F1 02 21 03 00 to read ECU odometer.

I then get back hex value 19 FA 2D which is decimal 170.245 km and was matching (+/-3%) the dashboard odometer.

Maybe that helps.

Teda, to by člověk neřekl, kolik čechů tu projíždí tohle fórum.

To majoslav: Jsi si 100% jistý pravosti kilometrů v přístrojovce?

Hello again,
I would like to report, that after the correction in version 1.6, the odometer value for my ECU has again significant mistake. At the same moment, version 1.6 shows 49038.1 km, while version 1.5 shows 1671217 km. It looks like, the odometer value for EDC15 has been divided with coefficient 34.08. Evidently, it is not correct to use the same correction coefficient for all ECUs. However, I don't know whether it is possible to use different values for different ECUs. You could see the example data from my odometer and dashboard several posts above. The correction coefficient should be around 8.
Again my ECU ISO code: FD 86 86 98 76
Looking forward to the software master's opinion.
Cheers!

Hi,

That's correct, and I know about that. I'm still gathering information for the odometer divisor.
It seems that there is difference in the divisor even when the EQUs have the same ISO code. I have currently set the divisor to 34.08.
Generally, it seems that the EQUs mounted in Lancia use divisor 8.xx, while those used in Fiat use divisor 34.xx.

Thank you very much for your quick answer, Yani!

This feature, of course, is not of critical importance. I'm sure that you'll gather enough information sooner or later :) You have already demonstrated that you continuously improve the quality and functionality of your software.
Do you have up to now a logical explanation of how is calculated the odometer value and why its change ratio is not constant in all situations?

Best regards,
Asen

Fiat Croma 1.9 JTD 8V
ECU ISO code: FD 86 38 04 94

Odometer in car: 68600 km
Odometer in Multiecuscan:14893,3 km
Over a distance of 362 km (in car), Multiecuscan counts 3,1 km more.

Could it be that the Multiecuscan-odometer counts the distance since last service reset?

check multiecuscan 1.5, in 1.6 value(in some cars) have wrong divisor

The same odometer value in 1.5 and 1.6

Hi,
we are discussing only older EDC15 ECU versions in this thread (that is before EDC15C7). In these ECUs the odometer function is not documented.
Your ECU is EDC16/CF4, which has a very well documented odometer function.
I don't know why the value is different in your case. It could be reprogramming of the ECU, faulty speed sensor connection to ECU, or something else. The difference of 3.1 / 362 km is less than 1%, so I think it should be ok.
