Failure when connecting

Post by Aristovoulos » 21 Dec 2009, 22:00

I'm facing a problem when connecting to my Fiat Stilo 1.6 16V '02, both with abs and power steering.
When the program connects failure alarms show up on the instrument panel "ABS Failure, ASR Failure, EBD Failure, Power Steerig Failure, etc."
The weird part is that the scanner finds no errors, and when i disconnect from the ecus all lights go out, like there was never a problem.
I searched everything and the only thing that makes me worry is this: In the How To Use section Yani writes in the bottom of the page to solder together pins 1, 7 and 9 (which i did), but in the picture above the soldered pins are 1, 7 and 11.
Can someone tell me if he soldered 1, 7 and 9 (as written) or 1, 7 and 11 (as shown) or is just a bug of the current version?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

Don't worry. This is normal.
When you connect to the abs it shows all possible errors on the dashboard. Everything goes back to normal after you disconnect.
The same happens with the power steering. After disconnecting from the power steering ecu you need to torn the key off and then back to MAR.

Is this only Stilo's issue ? I'm asking because I own the same car and have the same "problem". It's a little stressed when all possible failures start to ring :? .

Hy,
yes, is normal!!
When you connect in diagnostic to the stilo EPS it goes in recovery mode... All is normal... as told by Yani when you disconnect the interface, power off and back on the car, all came back normal.. :D

As i know, only the Stilo EPS made this...
Panda and ypsilon eps stay on and no error also during Diagnostic session!!

Bye Bye

I don´t understand the same thing of pin soldering: 1,7and 9 as written by Yani or 1,7and 11 as Yani shown in photos???

In COM interface I must solder the pins at same way of USB interface???
