Just to confirm yours suspicious in CROMA the TRW steering ECU is placed on the hydraulic pump inside engine bay as you can see in the photo.

It is confirmed. As gibom2000 mentioned the pin to connect TRW steering in Croma is 12. So it is necessary to make the modification on ELM connecting the 12 with for instance 7.
