By comparing MES logged data with measurements made with a clamp ammeter on the battery earth lead, I've determined very roughly that one needs to divide the MES logged value by 140 to get the true battery current in Amps.
I wonder if the exact conversion factor might be 128?

Re: MES 4.3 not working for me
I'm pleased to say I've got my MES Multiplex working with 4.3 software from my Mac Book via Parallels Desktop.
The problem was due to recessed pins in the CANtieCAR's USB connector causing an intermittent connection.
All's well now though I fear the connector may give further trouble.

Re: MES 4.3 not working for me
Thanks for the BOOTCAMP suggestion. I'm reluctant to start using Bootcamp as I use Parallels for a number of other things. Until this week MES Multiplex has worked fine for me with Parallels Desktop. I am now finding that the Multiplex unit no longer shows as a mapped drive whether I'm using Paralle...

MES 4.3 not working for me
I've upgraded to MES 4.3 and can't get it to work. 4.2 worked perfectly OK for me. My configuration is MES Multiplex connected by USB to a Mac Book Pro running Parallels Desktop 14.1 and Windows 7. The interface test function of MES times out though the MES unit is visible to Windows as a drive. I h...

Re: Can only read info Alfa Giulia QV
As I understand it, Giulias made since early 2018 have the SGW device which prevents MES and OBD readers from clearing DTCs. There is some more detail on the alfaowner.com forum. Also I understand that SGW defeat devices now exist. See: https://zautomotive.com/product/bypass-module/ Fortunately, I d...

Mito TCT QV 170ps ISO Codes Not Recognised

Giulia Quadrifoglio Fuel Level
MES 4.1 and MES 4.2 both log fuel level from the BCM ECU as 40% at all times.
Logging Fuel Level from the Dashboard ECU seems correct.
Fuel gauge on the dash is fine.
Either an MES bug or a Giulia 'feature' perhaps?

Giulia Quadrifoglio Battery Current
MES 4 (and 3.9) records the battery current, excluding at engine start up, as being in the range approximately -5000 to +5000 with the units nominally Amps which obviously is not right.
What are the units actually? mA perhaps?

Re: MES 3.9 on Giulia Quadrifoglio
MES 4.0 does recognise the updated ECMs.
