The trouble with that would be when you're using the VAG KKL interface lead, it doesn't support all the EOBD protocols, so you'd have to switch to the ELM anyway. On vehicles with a DPF, I believe aswell as the service resets on the instrument cluster, there is a separate oil service function on the engine controller (along with DFP regen etc).
