Calculated Torque EDC16C39 / SBR

Hi Yani,
maybe you could include the value for the current engine torque calculated from the ECU.

Another item would be to switch off the seat-belt-reminder sound (SBR) on Alfa 159 BC.

Great Software so far, and I will purchase a license soon.

Bye tomsa.

Re: How about ECU re-image (mapping)

Hi, I do not know iaw5nf. I know only the diesel ECUs EDC16 EDC17. Here you download the file from the ECU, do your remapping and flash back the modified file. The immo code stored in the original file won't be touched. Maybe you should look around at chiptuners.org or so to find out about iaw5nf. bye

Re: How about ECU re-image (mapping)

For remapping you must have a tool to read the ecu eeprom such as EOBD1260 which you can buy in the bay. Then you have to modify the Maps and write back the bin-file to the ECU with the tool I mentioned above. For my car (Alfa 159 EDC16/CF4) it works perfect.

Re: cLose EGR!!!!!

hi, great sources are chiptuners.org for map locations and digital-chaos for SW. The rest is know-how(I'am professional) and hard work.

Re: cLose EGR!!!!!

hi, yes you are right. I general there are at least two ways to shutt off EGR.First you can apply high values to the air-desired map, lets say for the 1.9 jtd about 1200 mg/cyc. So the EGR is closed and you have to edit a second map for the air mass deviation. Here you apply values about 1000mg/cyc ...

Re: cLose EGR!!!!!

hi, I have the same engine with the same ECU and I use exactly the tool you find on the bay. You have to read out the eeprom with the software which comes with the tool (EOBD1260). It takes about 45 min, so be sure your batteries (laptop and car) are in top condition. Then you have to modify the bin...
