Re: Thanks, the ECU reset woked great! Programming???

When Yani mentions programming he is basically referring to those functions that can be changed such as "country alarm settings", "reversing sensors/towbar settings" etc.

Engine map programming etc. is not supported.

According to this: http://multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx you need the commercial version of Fiat ECU Scan. Bosch Motronic ME7.3H4 EOBD Injection KLELMOBDKey (commercial) Bosch Motronic ME7.3H4 Injection KLELMOBDKey (commercial) Bosch ABS 5.3 KL 1OBDKey 1 (free) Bosch ABS 5.3 TC KL 1OBDK...

Re: multiecuscan and valves question

Simple answer. NO.

Also, valve timing is done in degrees and not milli seconds. Valve opening and closing times are dependent on engine/camshaft rotation speed.

There is a camshaft sensor that detects the camshaft position/timing. Multiecuscan to my knowledge does not read this sensor.

Re: Closing EGR

Not to my knowledge.

Multiecuscan (FES) is able to operate/test EGR valves (via 'acutator' function) but that is all.

To close the EGR most probably requires an ECU software update which FES is not designed to do.

Re: marea TD100 year 1997 3 wire connection

The easy way is to puchase a 3 pin to EOBD connection lead. If you Google the subject then you should find some useful links. A point to note is that the Fiat 3Pin diagnostic connector does NOT have a 12V supply. This is why the 3-pin adapters come with an extra wire to connect to 12V. Elm & I think...

Re: Fiat New Croma - power steering

Pin 12... now that is a bummer. Hopefully connecting pins 1,7,9 AND 12 together will not be a problem. (leaving K line airbags isolated on 3) Having fully implemented 4 pin DIP control to 1,3,7 & 9 I've run out of DIP switches so will have to look at linking 12 to either 1,7 or 9. Not ideal but I gu...

Re: cable Vagcom KKL usb

Should not be a problem, althought the supplied software will not obviously work (well it may do).

At 14 euros it is certainly worth a try and you can download Multiecuscan for free to test.

You can always sell it on to a VW/Audi enthusiast, but I doubt you will have to.

Re: Fiat New Croma - power steering

OK. I have a Croma 05 so I'll check myself when I get a chance, probably not till Friday/this weekend. I'll try with both VAG and Elm interfaces. Also gives me an excuse to check my Gendan patch cables. OK. Have tried both VAG and Elm and NO Power Steering listed. SCAN reports some unsupported unit...
