Re: Cantiecar and Multiecuscan 4.6R1

Not sure that you are at fault.

I suspect your Cantiecar interface may need a firmware update? The 500X was a new Fiat model that require a new A6 adapter.

Suggest you contact Cantiecar (http://www.tiecar.net/) directly and ask for clarification.

Re: Novus old block user

Yes please let us know how you get on. I've personally encountered cases where and ELM interface will not connect but a KKL one will. I'm not going to suggest that the ELM compatibility information is wrong but more that sometimes one interface is more "picky/temperamental" than another. This usuall...

Re: Novus old block user

Your Alfa ideally wants the KKL (VAG KL) interface. If you are using an ELM device then you will only be able to connect to some units and even then depending on the ELM interface you may have problems.

Connection to WiFi is not required.

Re: Delete my account

Hi MissElectric. As only a humble moderator I can not delete your account but I think Yani could. I know that periodically Yani purges all the "Banned" accounts. So what I can do is to ask you to change your password to a VERY VERY secure PW (some 30 random characters) and then send me a PM. I will ...

Re: Definition of EOL OK?

I *think* EOL means "End Of Line" as in a vehicle production cycle where all the various electronic components are brought together and programmed into the body/master control node. Makes more sense than "End Of Life" :) A possibly relevant link I found is https://www.goepel.com/en/automotive-test-s...

Re: New MY20 Ducato 2.3 180, MES compatibly

As you have MES then all I can suggest is that you connect to your new MY20 and do a scan. This will detect modules and check their ISO codes to see if they are supported. Even if not supported many functions will still work. As for SGW then MES will tell you if this is installed. You will then need...

Re: ECU reading values

I can't comment on Bluetooth interfaces as I've never used one. I've looked in test mode and the ABS odometer guide information says that it is derived form the engine ECU value and should be within 3% on the dashboard odometer. Not sure why you are reading nothing from the ABS odometer. The latest ...

Re: ECU reading values

It is a fairly common reoccurring observation that people have had (me on the Croma 2005 I used to have and my current 500X) that the engine ECU odometer value does not match the dashboard odometer value. You can check the odometer values recorded in the ABS unit and Service unit with MES to see wha...

Re: Noob questions

With your Fiatecuscan KKL 409.1 Switch USB then the numbers refer to which Pin the KKL signal is connected. With normal VAG/KKL interfaces the signal is on Pin 7. So with your switch modified version the signal is connected to Pin 7 when the switch is aligned with the number 7. This would be general...

Re: Fiat Tipo activate cornering fog lights

Have you done a Scan with MES to see what is installed? You could also try an Proxi Alignment to see if this picks up your installed lights. After this (if this does not work) then I guess you will need to do a custom Proxi data update. However this requires the EXACT knowledge of which bytes(s) nee...
