The ME 2.1 is the same as the ME 7.3.1 but without the two Lambda sensors in the exhaust branches (Bank1 & Bank2) All the other sensors & Actuators are the same. Pre 03 156 2.5V6 (ME 2.1) & post 03 156 2.5V6(ME7.3.1) The same diagnostic can be used. Does that effectively mean I could pick any of th...

No, but I have read that the 7.3.1 ECU could be chosen instead - I will have a 'play' & report back
