I know this is an old post, but just wondered if there was a solution to this problem, as had the same error while attempting to programm remote on brava '09' , using 3.7 with cantie interface.

Alfa gt 1.9jtdm '07' Faults:- non start', only the srs lamp illuminated (flickers) on dashboard/cluster, no other lights gauges work, no comms with cluster/srs/abs and sasn, done a scan with multiecuscan and showing NBC=EOL OK, NCM=ok, NQS=EOL Failed, NFR=Removed, steering angle sensor (NAS=removed)...

Update I had a computer technician look over circuit board with a microscope and he has identified a dry joint near sd card mount, he's managed to resolder using a blower and bingo it now works fine with a new sandisk card ( he advised me they are good quality) formatted, and installed latest driver...

Bri, I've tried holding button in and connecting to usb as per cantie flow chart, still no success, iam going to go over circuit board with a magnifying glass to check board for dry solder joints as a last resort, in the short term I 'll have to purchase a lead kit from gendan, not sure if that will...

I've purchased a new sd card, formatted and copied required files onto it, but still not showing as a drive when connected, so iam resigned to the fact the interface is faulty, so I'll have to purchase a elm interface for the time being as I cannot afford the €190 for the upgrade interface at the mo...
