Let me take a guess here:
All KKL interfaces stopped working, except for the blue one with the switch and everyone has to spend 10-20 Euros now to get a new one?
That certainly explains why my Galetto still works for flashing, but not for MES anymore.

Have you tried IAW Scan 2? I used it on a 1.2 16V that was unsupported by MES, and it worked fine: http://iaw-scan2.sourceforge.net/

Hi, I'm bummed out to report that this still doesn't work to this day. I've tried Windows 7, as well as fresh installations of Windows Vista, Windows 8 and Windows XP, all set up properly. None work, all give me "The operation timed out". I've tried everything and about every FTDI driver available, ...
